We've been using this recipe at Sifted Tea holiday events and it's a hit!! Tastes like hot chocolate, smells like hot chocolate, doesn't FEEL like hot chocolate because you'll be LIGHTER & LESS BLOATED after drinking this (Cacao Tea is a natural anti-inflammatory beverage, and acts as a slight diuretic). No acidic burn, and no belly bloat from far too much sugar and artificial ingredients. We've got (3) ingredients for you:
Sifted Cacao Tea (buy here)
Unsweetened Almond Milk (or milk beverage of choice)
1) BOIL water to a minimum of 195 degrees. Anywhere 190-212 is great for Sifted Tea.
2) steep tea: we do a minimum of 5 minutes --- ratio is 1 heaping tsp per 1 cup water, or 1 heaping tbsp per 'tea pot' or french press (3-4 cups water). Use a metal tea infuser, a cup with an infuser filter in it, a pour over, stovetop percolator, french press, or loose oversized tea bag.
I like to use coconut sugar because it's unrefined, and has a low glycemic index so you won't feel that crash after eating it (who wants to give this to their kids instead of the white table sugar?! *hand raised*). It slows down how fast your body is absorbing the glucose.
RATIO: is 1 heaping tsp per 1 cup water, or 1 heaping tbsp per 'tea pot' or french press (3-4 cups water)
